You still say Hughton

It's closer than the first poll, much closer between first and second, with support for Hughton down to 22.4% and Allardyce very close behind with 20.7% of the vote.

After the last poll I suggested, given the results when we've been looking for a new manager previously, our choice wouldn't get the job and there was a distinct possibility that our new manager might not even be on the list.

Interestingly, there was no sign of Malky Mackay on that first list but this time he's taken third place and is currently favourite for the job. Speculation yesterday, via Sky Sports News, of an approach to Watford appear to be wide of the mark but he's very much still in the frame for the job.

Other obvious targets, Derek McInnes and Eddie Howe, take the next places, but the likes of Paul Jewell, who is expected to be named Ipswich manager shortly, got very little support.

As we move that bit closer to knowing who the new man will be to replace Brian Laws, the voting this time was as follows:

22.4% - Chris Hughton
20.7% - Sam Allardyce
14.3% - Malky Mackay
10.0% - Derek McInnes
7.7% - Eddie Howe
6.1% - Kevin Keegan
4.7% - Sean O'Driscoll
2.9% - Graham Alexander & Steve Clarke
2.0% - Billy Davies
1.9% - Gary Neville
1.0% - Paul Jewell
0.4% - Andy Scott

There was a 4.6% vote for others.
