Wolves defender joins on loan

The 19 year-old defender has been with Wolves from the start and is a product of their academy. He won his first call up to the first team during their Premiership season and twice made the bench without coming on.

That changed early last season and when he finally made his debut as Wolves struggled to come to terms with relegation. He made his debut in the Carling Cup victory at Rochdale and then came on as a substitute as Wolves lost to the Clarets on the Turf in the next round. He replaced Joachim Bjorklund on the hour and played the last thirty minutes plus the extra time.

That led to a place in the league team and between then and December he played in eleven Championship games for Wolves, the last of which was at Watford, Glenn Hoddle’s first game as manager.

He hasn’t featured since and Wolves their assistant manager, and former Southampton boss, Stuart Gray said, “Keith has had league experience and has done well. But at the moment his path is blocked with other players ahead of him.

“This is a great opportunity for him to get first team football because there is nothing like playing on a Saturday when you have trained all week.”

Lowe is expected to go straight into our squad for the home game against Derby tomorrow.
