Dennis Wise with Gus Poyet - the new management team at Leeds
What a combination, Bates and Wise, certainly a pairing where one doesn't spoil the other, and I'm sure a lot of people will say Leeds are a club that deserve them. Wise has arrived from Swindon where he had been since the start of this season, and he's brought with him his assistant Gus Poyet and goalkeeper coach Andrew Beasley.

A compensation package has been agreed with Swindon Town where they have had chaos of their own with Dave Tuttle accepting the caretaker manager role yesterday before rejecting it today. Player Ady Williams is expected to take temporary charge.

Wise and his crew take over at Elland Road tomorrow, but for tonight the latest caretaker manager David Geddis will get his one game in charge against Southend in the Carling Cup. The first game for the new team will be the just the same fixture but in the league.
