Leeds goalkeeper Neil Sullivan must have had an exceptional game to keep Brian Jensen out of the picture but our defensive performance has been recognised with John McGreal having been nominated. We kept a second clean sheet in four days and Johnny Mac was in top form, particularly as the Clarets defended doggedly towards the end of the game.
Home debutant Michael Ricketts also won a place, and there’s no doubt he scored one of the goals of the day in the division to ensure we picked up all three points. He has been selected alongside former Claret Alan Lee who we will come up against next week when we play his new club Ipswich at Portman Road.
