Williams is top again

Rhys Williams
Again he's won both the man of the match vote and the player ratings to claim maximum points in the player of the year table. In the man of the match he polled 37.4% of the vote and that left him with almost twice as many as Wade Elliott who finished second with 19.5% of the vote. Michael Duff was third with 13.2%.

It was the same three at the top of the player ratings but not quite in the same order. Williams again came out on top with a rating of 7.23 out of 10, but it was Duff in second place, and his rating was 7.14. Elliott this time was third with a rating of 7.00.

Williams has won six points and there are three each for Duff and Elliott. The points haven't any effect at the top of the table although Elliott has now joined Stephen Jordan in sixth place, just a point behind goalkeeper Brian Jensen who is set to increase his points total from the Norwich game.

The results from the Norwich game will be published tomorrow, and meanwhile voting has now started for the January Goal of the Month. There are ten goals to choose from, four in the Carling Cup, three in the FA Cup and three league goals. That vote will continue until the end of Friday.
