Williams could prove costly

The local press in the Middlesbrough area are suggesting that Boro are keen to hold on to the Australian born full back who they believe will form part of their Championship team next season.

But Williams has already said he would be keen on a Turf Moor return and should we make an acceptable offer he could be one of our first summer signings. However, it is thought that we might have to break our current transfer record to land him.

Sources in Middlesbrough are suggesting they would want in the region of £1.5 million for him.
