Wigan recall Pollitt

Not for the first time this season Pollitt has gone out on loan only to be recalled early because of injuries to Kirkland, not a rare event. He went to Ipswich earlier in the season but was there for just a few days and played only the one game against Norwich.

He made his Burnley debut at Southampton on 13th January and kept a clean sheet in a goalless draw. Since then he's played in the three defeats against Stoke, Derby and QPR, although he's hardly been at fault with the goals we have conceded in those games.

This Saturday's game against Sheffield Wednesday was due to be his last for the Clarets. His loan was coming to an end and there appeared to be little likelihood of it being extended. Danny Coyne is fit again and has been on the bench recently whilst also completing ninety minutes for Wales in their international against Northern Ireland this week in Belfast. With Brian Jensen transfer listed at his own request it is Coyne who is likely to play on Saturday.
