Glen Little to Portsmouth - that's the latest rumour in town
Chairman Barry Kilby was hoping for some positive news this week from the court case but with that unlikely he admitted that players could be sold to help balance the books. He told the local evening paper,

"To be honest we have been working on the likelihood that we will get nothing (from the money owed by ITV Digital) and that will mean that if we do get something it is a bonus. The best scenario is that we get all the money we are owed and then we can relax.

"But the reality remains that we will probably have to sell because we have got to raise the money (around £4million over two years) we are missing somehow.

"In addition to possibly selling we are going to struggle to bring in any new players, like Marlon Broomes and Marlon Beresford, because the budget is so tight."

With daft rumours flying around that Glen Little is to be sold to Portsmouth and Arthur Gnohere is on his way to Deepdale it did look all doom and gloom but then there was some light with the club’s official team photograph.

On there were the two Marlons, Beresford and Broomes, which must suggest that the club are hoping to sign them. Sadly none of the three new professionals were included and neither was Mark Rasmussen who made the picture last year. Surely in the current financial climate these players are our future – but then again maybe not.
