Who would get the centre forward role?

On Thursday evening 15th December Willie will be at the club shop on Harry Potts Way signing copies of his book and he has enlisted the help of two friends and former Burnley players along with a manager to keep them all in line.

Alongside Willie will be his former striker partner of the 1960s, none other than Andy Lochhead. That’s an Irishman and a Scotsman and they will be joined by the best goal scorer many current Burnley fans have ever seen, none other than the natural born Claret Andy Payton.

Irvine, Lochhead and Payton all together, what a fantastic line up with goals aplenty but they will all need to be very carefully managed and who better than current Burnley boss, and a former striker himself, Steve Cotterill, who will be there to ensure that we get the best out of these three top players.

Between them these three former players scored a total of 248 league goals for the Clarets in just 508 games, and that number of goals goes beyond 300 if you include cup games, so the conversations on the night are guaranteed to turn to goals.

So why not come down and join them, have a chat, listen to their tales of great goals and get your book signed by the three greats and their new manager. And then you can decide who would get the centre forward position in your team.
