Burnley will now see Glen go out of contract in the summer and, although hoping that he will sign a new deal, could lose him for nothing if he chooses to move on.
It is somewhat ironic that he was the centre of transfer activity on transfer deadline day. On the same day last year, as we all say waiting to hear of new signings, it was Glen on the move with his ill-fated loan deal at Reading.
This time though he will be at Burnley for the rest of the season at least and it would be a major bonus for us if he could celebrate that with a performance tomorrow similar to the one at the same venue two years ago when he scored twice in a 3-2 win.
