Everything was going to plan and form when Tom Ince scored for his dad to give Blackpool an early lead and there seemed no likelihood of a Millwall recovery. Then, and this time without any pitch invasions, they grabbed an equaliser at the end of the first half from the penalty spot and went on to win the game 3-1.
That result, alongside the others in midweek, mean Blackpool are no longer top and Millwall are certainly no longer bottom.
Blackpool are now down to third place, just above Burnley. Leicester went top on Tuesday night and there won't be too many complaints from Burnley fans given they beat Blackburn who are still whinging about the penalty decision that went against them.
Former Burnley loan player David Nugent scored from the spot. It's his third goal of the season with all of them coming from penalties, with only Troy Deeney (Watford) the only other player to have scored more than one. He has two.
Leicester's hold of top spot lasted just 24 hours. QPR are now top despite them only drawing last night at home against Brighton. Poor Harry Redknapp and his squad. He has Bobby Zamora and Andy Johnson out injured and was bemoaning the fact that Charlie Austin is his only fit striker.
Apparently Charlie missed a good few chances last night playing as a lone striker. There were plenty of posters on this site's message board, those who accusing Sean Dyche of ruining him, who claimed he could only play in a 4-4-2.
Enough of the top of the league; we'll now go and have a look at the bottom with Millwall having lifted themselves away.
They've managed to climb five places to 19th. Of the five teams below them, four have four points but down at the bottom, and despite getting a point on Tuesday, are Bolton. Along with Sheffield Wednesday they are still looking for their first win of the season but at one point they looked as though they'd get nothing when Derby went into a 2-0 lead.
They came back with long range strikes from Alex Baptiste and Chris Eagles and might have won it had the overpriced substitute David Ngog not missed an excellent chance. I look at their squad and wonder just how they've managed to make such a poor start. I do expect them to climb the table but, for now, it's quite enjoyable seeing them where they are.
Yeovil and Barnsley are down there with them in the bottom two. I can't reassure their supporters that they will climb away from danger. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see them both down there come May.
Barnsley have the worst goal difference currently in the league. I refer to that simply so I can also point out that we have the best. It's plus seven with Watford on plus six.
We've also kept three clean sheets in our seven league games to date but that's only third best. Brighton have kept four clean sheets and leaders QPR, who have conceded just two goals, have kept five clean sheets. Maybe Harry signed too many defenders and not enough strikers.
Sheffield Wednesday and Wigan didn't play in midweek. That's because Wigan are taking on one of the elite clubs in European football tonight in the Europa League. They travel to Belgium to play Zulte Waregem. "It's historic," said Wigan boss Owen Coyle. "The excitement around the whole town has been building."
And there was me thinking Wigan was famous for pies and Uncle Joe's Mint Balls, which, at least, do keep you all aglow.
