And life for the Clarets goes on from tonight when we take on Sheffield United in an important league game at Bramall Lane and that means we have to put Sunday to the back of our minds, crack on and see where it takes us.
It is no use us turning up at Bramall Lane feeling sorry for ourselves, it is no use getting upset as they celebrate their forthcoming FA Cup Semi-Final.
We've all had our say on Sunday's debacle, we've all gone through it time and time again. We've analysed the performance, the tactics, who had good games and who had bad games. We have all had our own opinions and forced them on others.
So from now let's talk about tonight's game and our chances, our hopes for making the top six by the end of the season. It is certain that we won't have a chance unless we all put Sunday behind us.
That means the manager and his staff, the players and of course all the fans. We, the fans, need to get behind the players again tonight just as we did on Sunday and let them know that we are still 100% behind them.
It was a major disappointment and it robbed us of a wonderful day out but we are still playing Division One football, we haven't been relegated, we have certainly had worse days. In fact had we gone out of the FA Cup in the 3rd round against Grimsby in front of around 5,000 many wouldn't have even noticed.
Yes it hurt, it still hurts - but Stan tells us that we are fantastic supporters and if that's the case then we should be able to burst through that pain barrier.
So if you are going to Bramall Lane tonight then get behind the lads again is if your lives depend upon it.
What's gone has gone, there's nothing we can do about it, so let's crack on.
