It seems to be game after game at times with him and it is worth noting that he holds the 2010/11 season record for most yellow cards in a game with no less than 12 in the Premier League game between Wolves and Newcastle.
Such has been his form again this season that he didn't referee a game at the top level from September until recently and he's been back for the last two Saturdays with games at West Brom and Fulham.
This will be just his third Burnley game after he took charge of our Premier League fixtures last season at Manchester City and Aston Villa.
Overall this season he's refereed 14 games that have brought 49 yellow cards and 2 red cards. Of those, 25 have gone to home team players and 24 to away team players.
The first of his two red cards this season saw Gary Cahill sent off in Bolton's 4-1 defeat at Arsenal. Bolton appealed that one but failed.
Tony Pulis won't be appealing the one received by Ryan Shawcross on Saturday in their defeat at Fulham but he described it as adding insult to injury after the award of a penalty that he didn't agree with. There were two yellow cards in this game alongside the Shawcross red - Danny Murphy (Fulham) and Andy Wilkinson (Stoke).
The assistant referees are Simon Long (Suffolk) and Martin Yerby (Kent) and the fourth official tonight is Football League referee Iain Williamson (Berkshire) who refereed our 1-1 draw at QPR earlier in the season.
