Burnley's continuing resolve to land a couple of quality additions to their first team squad looks to be finally bearing fruition.

Aston Villa are now ready to sell midfielder Ashley Westwood to Burnley.

New Villains' boss Roberto Di Matteo is looking to offload Westwood and take Mile Jedinak to Villa Park from Crystal Palace.

Recently relegated Villa were dumped out of the EFL Cup by League Two Luton on Wednesday night following a humiliating 3-1 reverse at Kenilworth Road.

It is reported the Villains' new boss Roberto Di Matteo and billionaire Chinese owner Tony Xia are stepping up a complete revamp at Villa Park after successive opening losses.
