West on the move again

The ex-Burnley full back went straight into the Lincoln side at the beginning of the season but played only four matches for them before being left out of the side. He hasn’t won his place back since.

And now he has signed for Boston in a deal that sees striker Martin Carruthers, once an Adrian Heath target for Burnley, move in the opposite direction.

Carruthers too, has only been at his club since the summer after signing from Macclesfield.

West goes straight into the Boston squad for tonight’s Carling Cup tie against Fulham, he was not involved in Lincoln’s 3-1 victory over Derby in the first round or their second round exit at Birmingham last night.

They will not be new surroundings for West at the York Street Club, he played for them in 1993, on loan from Lincoln, when they were in the Unibond League. On that occasion he scored seven goals in nine games before returning to Lincoln.
