The previous two years have been spent in Austria but Steve Cotterill wanted a change for his squad this year and they will be based for the last week in July on the banks of Lake Garda near to the resort of Bardolino on the South East shore of the lake.

The resort is just nine miles from Verona airport although the region is served well with flights into such as Venice and Milan.

No games have as yet been scheduled but the club will reveal these just as soon as they are confirmed – but that's not stopped fans from booking up flights there. The team fly out on Sunday 23rd July and return on the following Saturday 29th July, just one week before the start of the Football League season.

Clarets Mad have reported from the Isle of Man, Austria and Germany in recent years, and will now be preparing for a trip to arguably the most picturesque area in Europe to bring you some of the pre-season action.
