Webster takes charge at Oakwell

This won't be Webster's first game between Burnley and Barnsley; indeed it is his third, but the other two have come at Turf Moor. He refereed our 2000/01 encounter when Chris Morgan was sent off and also the game on the flooded pitch in 2007/08. Both games ended in 2-1 wins for Burnley.

Morgan is one of four players sent off when Webster has been referee and all have come in clashed against Yorkshire teams with Arthur Gnohere, Frank Sinclair and Andy Gray also being dismissed against Bradford City, Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday respectively.

Overall, Webster is a decent referee that likes to give the players the limelight and allows them to play. He won't nitpick and will try to keep the game flowing. Quite often you don't notice him when he's the man in the middle.

This season he's reached 50 yellow card in 17 games with three red cards to add to that. Tyrone Mears got his first card and subsequently they've been evenly divided. Of those 50, 26 have gone to home team players and 24 to away team players.

Two of the three red cards came in the same game with one from each team going in Tranmere's 4-2 League One win against Milton Keynes Franchise.

Webster's last game was Hull's Championship clash against Bristol City at the KC Stadium last weekend. Hull won the game 2-0 but had Ian Ashbee, Andy Dawson and Liam Rosenior carded with Bristol City's David Clarkson and Christian Ribeiro also seeing yellow.

The assistant referees are Mark Griffiths (South Yorkshire) and Keith Lawson (South Humberside). The fourth official is Paul Graham (Manchester).
