Webster has had his good games and his poor games refereeing Burnley. He's sent off Arthur Gnohere, Frank Sinclair and Andy Gray in previous games, all for a second yellow card, although I'm not too sure we could have had much of an argument on any of them, particularly Frank's.
Probably his worst Burnley game was last season's 2-0 defeat at Preston. He went card crazy that afternoon, which is unlike him, and had a shocker. He isn't though the most eager of referees as far as cards are concerned. In 33 games this season he has sent off just two players and handed out 63 yellow cards which is less than two per game.
The two red cards both came in Championship games. The first was West Brom's Paul Robinson in their 3-1 win at Hull in January and more recently he sent off Gregory Vignal of Southampton as they drew 2-2 at Wolves.
In recent weeks the away teams have been hit more than home teams with the yellow cards but that has only served to even things up. Unlike most referees Webster hasn't handed out more to away team players and right now the figures couldn't be closer with 32 yellow cards to home team players and 31 to away team players.
This is not his first Burnley v Barnsley game. His very first Burnley game was the home game against Barnsley in 2000/01 season which we won 2-1 with goals from Lenny Johnrose and Andy Payton. He yellow carded seven players that afternoon and sent off Barnsley's Chris Morgan.
He's not the best referee around by any stretch of the imagination, but we've certainly had far worse than him recently.
The assistant referees will be Darren Bond (Lancashire) and Ross Joyce (Cleveland) and fourth official duties will be in the hands of Mark Heywood (Cheshire).
