Wear your colours with pride – one day to go

Everyone has rallied round and the response from everyone has been brilliant especially those who have been able to give the campaign some publicity. It seems that just about every day during the last week the campaign has been mentioned on a different web site.

Many people have been discussing which shirt to wear and I do get the impression that last season's sponsorless traditional looking shirt could be the most popular. There have been pleas to keep the jade and black halves away from the ground and there hasn't been much of a call for the quartered shirt. Today we feature the shirt worn just for one season (and that in the days when they usually lasted for two seasons) in 1995/96.

My choice was the shirt worn in 1993/94 and 1994/95, the one worn with pride at Wembley in the play off final but a quick check has made this impossible due to the fact that I can only just about get it on and it is very uncomfortable. I find it difficult to believe that it would shrink so much just neatly folded in a drawer.

It is looking like a 1940s replica for me, either that or last season's, these are the two (larger sizes) I have been able to borrow for the day. Whichever one it is I will certainly be wearing it with pride.

BFC you are loved all over Australia. forget this past few games! I was at the famous Plymouth game and look what happened so everyone have faith. Give Little the chance to play in the Premiership where he belongs. Come on you Clarets!!!

Mick Wells in France

I am in France at the moment but will be sat in an Avignon internet cafe wearing my shirt and scarf. Give it your all and shout for all us Clarets abroad.

Brett Smith in Canada

I'll be sitting by my computer listening to the game on the webcast wearing this season's Burnley away top. I wish the webcast was available with video (no matter what the quality) so that I could see the sea of Claret and Blue at Turf Moor . I'm sure I'll have a lump in my throat when I hear the Burnley fans singing their hearts out. From your Fans in Canada Up the Clarets.

Hi, Up from Shrewsbury on Sunday, Claret and Blue scarves out of the car window, Bertie Bee in the back window, no mention of BFC on Five live (no change there then). See Turf, hairs on back of neck stand on end, can't wait. Up the Clarets.

and finally today a very special message from a young supporter who will be wearing his colours with pride.

I would like to wish the players, especially Gazza, the best of luck to win the match on Sunday against Coventry City.

YOU ARE THE BEST!

Thanks everyone for your comments and support this week. All we ask now is that you get your scarves out and dig out those old shirts and at the Turf or wherever you are tomorrow just

Wear your colours with pride
