Three more web sites have publicly backed the campaign in the last day and the first one was from the club themselves on the Official Site with an article featuring a couple of the old strips. Next came Phil Hardaker and the Southwest Clarets and finally Steve Winkley from Bob Lord's Sausage who both put up articles on their respective sites supporting the campaign. Thanks to all of you for the great support.

We have had some great support from Clarets supporters who have contacted us via email from places far and wide.

John – a San Francisco Claret

Unfortunately I will not be able to make it to the game but was at Wembley for the play off final against Stockport and Wolves but lets see Turf Moor a see of claret and blue

Harry

Fantastic idea. We should be enormously proud of our Club.....what the players, management & board have achieved in 3 1/2 yrs is phenomenal.

Pag in Paris

I think it's a great idea and once again the Clarets Mad team motivates the Burnley nation! I will proudly be wearing my BFC shirt (the classic from last season) here in Paris, although I'm not sure whether to listen to it on the 'net or to go to the local English pub just off the Champs-Elysées and watch the Soccer Sunday programme on Sky Sports.

Phil Norrey in Devon

Excellent idea. Win (and go up or not), lose or draw it will make Sunday a memorable occasion. I intend to model my lucky shirt, the 1980/81 Umbro version (all the transfers have rubbed off I'm afraid). This shirt was present at Southend in May 1982, at White Hart Lane in Jan 1983 and at Plymouth and Wembley in 1994.

Darren Holden

I think its a great idea, but I was more interested in the people wearing the old seventies top with the blue V. I have been after one of those for ages .Do you know where I can get one?

Simon Constable from Radcliffe

That "hideous looking shirt with the big blue v" is one of my favourite shirts mainly because it was my first ever Burnley shirt and I've got the pictures to prove it! Good luck to the Clarets for the final four games of the season.

Thanks to all of you for your support and sorry for upsetting people who liked the seventies shirt with the blue V. I don't think you can buy them Darren though, the two people I know with them got them from players at the time.

At least we have found a photograph of one of the aforementioned shirts that were first introduced for the 1975/76 season, our last in the First Division. This kit remained for some four years.

Don't forget you can still SEND us your comments and don't forget to dig out your favourite shirt and

Wear your colours with pride
