Wear your colours with pride – five days to go

Last updated : 17 April 2002 By Tony Scholes

We have already been promised help and publicity from the local press, other Clarets web sites and from the club themselves as everyone once again pulls together to try and create a wonderful sight and atmosphere.

The first to get something online was Firmo from the London Clarets web site who can always be relied on to offer support. Thanks Firmo and to the London Clarets for your support.

Clarets supporter and Worldwide Claret Joe Vella contacted us from Malta. Joe won't be able to get to the game but told us he would be wearing one of his Burnley shirts to listen to the game on the net.

Which shirt will you be wearing? We have even had a couple of people daring to dig out and wear that hideous looking shirt from the 1970s with the big blue V. I'm not so sure where they have found them but it will be good to see some of those shirts for the first time in years.

Everyone has their favourite shirt and already some have told me they will be wearing the strange looking shirt that was the home kit in seasons 1991/92 and 1992/93, one that I personally thought was pretty dreadful. It is featured on the picture being worn by Roger Eli. If that's your favourite then dig it out and put it on this Sunday.

Don't forget to let your friends know about it – not everyone sees the internet and the local press.

What do you think of the campaign? Email us and let us know.

But get behind the lads this Sunday and

Wear your colours with pride
