We love working with players who can entertain

The 19-year-old had signed a one year loan deal ahead of the game and came on for the last fifteen minutes.

"The quality is all there for everybody to see," said Coyle. "He made some great crosses and passes within the last fifteen minutes.

"He's 19, is quick and direct, he can score goals and create them and I've no doubt that he will be a big player.

"We try to sign young players who we think we can improve and it is all about putting that long term plan for the football club in place.

"He has had a tremendous upbringing at Real Madrid and is an Ecuador international which given the players they have in their squad tells you the quality we've got.

"We are delighted to have got him on loan for a year, with an option to buy within that year, so I think it was a good bit of business for the club.

"I'd seen him once in a game and I got to know him in the ten days we had him on trial in America where he played two matches.

"We did all our background on him and there was a fair bit of interest in him from other clubs, certainly far bigger than ourselves, but we managed to get him on board and we're delighted. We love working with players who can entertain".
