Vokes gets Welsh call

Wales meet Scotland at Hampden Park on Friday 22nd March before returning to Wales where they face Croatia four days later at Swansea City's Liberty Stadium.

Vokes became Burnley's seventh Welsh international when he played in a friendly against Bosnia & Herzegovina in Llanelli in September last year. That was his 22nd cap and he's now won 25, the last of which was in a 2-1 friendly win against Austria last month in which he scored his fifth international goal.

He'll be hoping to add to his caps in these two games as the Welsh look to recover from a difficult start to their campaign. They have three points from four games and are already seven points behind leaders Belgium and Croatia with only Scotland, now under the management of Gordon Strachan, below them.

Coleman's squad is: Boaz Myhill (West Brom), Lewis Price (Crystal Palace), Owain Fon Williams (Tranmere), Ben Davies (Swansea), James Collins (West Ham), Chris Gunter (Reading), Joel Lynch (Huddersfield), Ashley Richards (Crystal Palace, loan from Swansea), Sam Ricketts (Bolton), Ashley Williams (Swansea), Joe Allen (Liverpool), Jack Collison (West Ham), Andy King (Leicester), Joe Ledley (Celtic), Aaron Ramsey (Arsenal), David Vaughan (Sunderland), Jonathan Williams (Crystal Palace), Gareth Bale (Tottenham), Craig Bellamy (Cardiff), Simon Church (Reading), Steve Morison (Leeds), Hal Robson-Kanu (Reading), Sam Vokes (Burnley).
