The players are based at the Sport Hotel Veronello which was built by Saverio Garonzi, the president of Hellas Verona, in the late 1960s. For a decade it was closed to the public and was reserved exclusively for the Veronese team, but in the 1970s the doors were opened to allow the facility to be used by some of the big Italian teams.

Top players have trained there over the years and for the last ten years and more it has become the official training centre of Chievo Verona, the team Burnley could have ben playing but who are now expected to be in the qualifiers for the Champions League.

The game against Huelva will be played next Tuesday, although there is no kick off time for that game as yet, whilst the game against Alense will kick off at 6:00 p.m. on the Friday at the venue which is easily reached by taxi from Bardolino.

Barriers will keep the supporters a distance from the touchline by barriers and the good news for fans is that the bar will be open at both games. Checks have been made and there will be no problems for the match officials if fans wear replica shirts at the games.

Supporters are asked, as this is the club's training base, to be of their best behaviour and manager Steve Cotterill has asked supporters to kindly stay away from the centre other than when attending the two games.

The centre is approximately 2km from Bardolino whilst the nearest railway station is Peschiera del Garda which is 7km away.
