Unsworth leads the way

It was Chris McCann that won the Man of the Match vote to take the three points, polling 22.3% of the vote whilst Unsworth claimed 17.8% and was in second place. Irish international Kyle Lafferty was the only other to reach double figures and his 13.1% of the vote was enough to claim third place.

There was no place for Kyle in the top three of the player ratings on the message board where Unsworth won it with the lowest winning rating since the system was implemented at the beginning of the season.

He averaged only 5.8 out of 10 after coming on as a substitute early in the game for Steven Caldwell. That score is less than the 6 required for an average performance which says a lot about how poorly the Clarets played on Saturday.

In second place was Andy Gray who averaged 5.67 with McCann taking third place with an average of 5.51. Only three other players averaged more than 5, they were Wade Elliott, Gabor Kiraly and Lafferty.

The two together gave Unsworth five points, McCann four, Gray two and one to Lafferty and the total number of points this season are;

28: Robbie Blake
22: Clarke Carlisle
20: Alan Mahon
18: Kyle Lafferty
14: Andy Gray
13: John Spicer
12: Steven Caldwell & Brian Jensen
11: Chris McCann & David Unsworth
10: Gabor Kiraly
6: Wade Elliott
3: Michael Duff
2: Ade Akinbiyi, Graham Alexander & Wayne Thomas
