Kandaurov left Benfica at the end of his contract at the end of last season and is looking for an opportunity in English football and has already spent time with both Bolton and Aston Villa.

He has been held up due to a court case against Benfica over unpaid wages but that has now been cleared up and Kandaurov is hopeful of a move into English football.

The 29 year-old midfielder is training with the Clarets, reported Planet Football today, and is hoping to do enough to impress Stan to win a contract. He will be playing for the reserves tonight at Wrexham.

Should the Clarets sign him there will be no need for a work permit. Although he is Ukrainian he holds a Portuguese passport. His agent Pinhas Zahavis said that Kandaurov is training with the Clarets for the next two days but he is hopeful of winning a contract with Burnley.
