Two more ex-Clarets win international caps

John Guidetti won his second cap for Sweden

Thanks to Mikael Jönsson from Norway, who keeps me up to date with this information, I'm now able to correct the Internationals feature by adding the two caps that I'd missed.

The first of them was David Edgar who won his 26th cap for Canada. This was a friendly against Panama, played in Panama City, which ended in a 0-0 draw. So no goal for Edgar this time, just a yellow card as he played the full ninety minutes.

The other former Claret on international duty this week was John Guidetti who was on loan at Turf Moor during the 2010/11 season. He made his international debut as a substitute against Croatia in Zagreb in February 2012 and on Tuesday won his second cap.

That first appearance for Sweden came during a loan from Man City to Feyenoord and prior to the illness that almost ended his career. Now with Celtic on loan, and scoring goals, he was reintroduced to the Sweden squad this week.

In a 1-0 friendly defeat against France in Marseille, a game that saw Alex Kačaniklić win his 19th cap, there was a substitute appearance again for Guidetti, coming on for Isaac Thelin for the last 23 minutes of the game.

The Internationals feature, with those thanks to Mikael, has now been updated.
