Two goals for Cook as reserves win

Last updated : 14 February 2002 By Tony Scholes

Both Burnley goals were scored by Paul Cook in the first half and Oldham pulled one back in the very last minute of the game. By this time they had been reduced to ten men when Dean Holden, on loan from Bolton, was sent off for a disgraceful challenge on Tony Ellis. He only walked because he had already received a yellow card and got his second. How he didn't get a straight red for it is beyond belief.

There was one change to the previously named line up by the Clarets. There was no sign of Lenny Johnrose and his place was taken by Andrew Waine.
