Tuttle goes at Millwall

David Tuttle - resigned as Millwall manager
Tuttle has stood down with immediate effect and has said that he wishes to further his management career away from the Den, and when the Clarets arrive there on Saturday the home side will be under the charges of reserve team boss Alan McLeary and goalkeeper coach Tony Burns, the latter having just been asked to remain at Millwall for a further two years.

It's been an incredible year there since our visit in May 2005. The obnoxious Dennis Wise resigned at the end of that game, he wasn't happy at the possibility of working with the new chairman Jeff Burnige who was set to replace the partially deaf Theo Paphitis.

What's happened since has been pure farce. Burnige appointed Steve Claridge as the new manager but then, even before a ball had been kicked this season, he resigned from the chair. Paphitis stood in, promptly sacked Claridge without him ever overseeing a game, and appointed Colin Lee.

Paphitis moved out of the chair again and in came Peter de Savary who moved Lee upstairs in a long term move and gave the job to Tuttle. Lee then left and now Tuttle has done the same.

Confused – I'm not surprised if you are, but just to confirm that Peter de Savary is still chairman, Burnige and the partially deaf one are still on the board, but they have no manager again.
