Tudgay storyline - all change

Just two days ago we were all led to believe they'd opted for the ending that would see Tudgay stay where he is, and even signing the new deal with Sheffield Wednesday that looked as though it was going to remain unsigned. Burnley, officially at least, continued to retain a dignified silence on the whole subject.

But wait - there's a second potential ending with Tudgay saying no to the new deal and demanding his move to the Premier League. That's certainly how its being seen again today with suggestions that we've not given up on things and are set to test Sheffield Wednesday even further by continuing to pursue the player.

I suppose there could always be a third ending filmed where he falls into the arms of a yet unnamed third party. Who knows? It doesn't look as though the storyline is at a definite end yet though.

This could almost challenge the Ken, Deirdre, Mike triangle story shown on Coronation Street back in the 1980s. That particular programme has given up with Wednesday now, maybe that's what Tudgay will do.
