Burnley are sending a very inexperienced side down to Shrewsbury and Sanna, 19 in July, will be the oldest player in a squad that is otherwise made up entirely of apprentices and schoolboys from the centre of excellence teams.

The Pen-y-Fford born Sanna joined Stoke as a scholar having been with the academy at Liverpool, during which time he made 20 appearances for the Welsh schoolboy team, and such has been his progress at Stoke that he was rewarded with his first professional contract last summer. He's not featured in the first team as yet but spent a time this season on loan at Watford.

Besides the keeper tonight's team is made up of five apprentices and five members of the centre of excellence under-16 team. On the bench is Chris Anderson who is in the under-15s.

The Burnley team is: Chris Sanna, Dean Stott, Paul Casey, Connor Smith, Thomas Bradley, Rob Henry, Ali Akbar, Adam Kay, Rob Turner, Jay Rodriguez, Lewis Craig. Subs: Lee Matthews, Ash Young, Alex McDonald, Chris Anderson.

There are three trialists in the Shrewsbury said, James Younghusband and Jack Watkins from Chelsea along with Joel Byrom from Blackburn. Six of the Shrewsbury team have featured in League Two games this season and they line up:

Lance Cronin, James Younghusband, Steve Leslie, Jay Denny, Gavin Cadwallader, Gavin Cowan, Jack Watkins, Joel Byrom, Marco Adaggio, Steve Hogg, Richard Evans. Subs: Glyn Thompson, George Hughes, Henry Goh.
