Three Clarets in Nationwide Team of the Week

Ian Moore - on of three Clarets in the Team of the Week
We shouldn’t need to say that two of the three are Arthur Gnohere and Robbie Blake, both outstanding last week in the home win against Walsall. No we shouldn’t need to say but incredibly neither of them have won a place.

The two of them were magnificent and picked up between them just about 60% of the vote in our Man of the Match poll.

Steve Davis has won a place for his performance in the Burnley defence. I am aware that we all realise that Steve played in midfield but those responsible for the team of the week clearly didn’t. Whether Steve Davis played well or not is irrelevant, he certainly didn’t play well in the back four.

Alonsgside him are Glen Little and Ian Moore, both of whom played well. At least those responsible seem to be aware of exactly where these two played.

The full team for last week was:

Kelvin Davis (Franchise), Ian Ward (Grimsby), Steve Davis (Burnley), Paul Hurst (Rotherham), Danny Higginbotham (Derby), Martin McIntosh (Rotherham), Chris Sedgwick (Rotherham), Glen Little (Burnley), Paul Evans (Bradford), Ian Moore (Burnley), Dominic Foley (Watford).
