At this time the current highest bid is just over £200 but there is still time to go with the auction closing at 4:00 p.m. on Friday despite it currently showing a Saturday afternoon closure.
It just poses the question as to whether this could cost Stan his job. As I see it Stan is paid for managing the playing side at Burnley Football Club but with the club in financial difficulties it does appear that not only do we have people prepared to do the job for nothing but also willing to pay for the privilege.
Maybe next week Stan will have to make a bid himself before he can take his place on the bench at Portman Road.
