Thirteen players leaving Burnley

These include skipper Steve Davis and goalkeeper Marlon Beresford, and Marlon will be regretting not signing that long term deal now rather than opting to continue with his monthly deals.

Only Graham Branch and Driss Diallo, of those out of contract, are offered new deals and that means goodbye to a number of players, some with extensive first team experience.

Out go Marlon Beresford, Lee Briscoe, Ian Cox, Earl Davis, Steve Davis, Andrew Leeson, Nik Michopoulos, Mark Rasmussen, Anthony Shandran and Andrew Waine along with the three already announced Gordon Armstrong, Paul Cook and Andy Payton.

It will mean a busy summer for Stan and lots of speculation.

There will be more on the list and a look back at some of these players later.
