Third pre-season game for Clarets

We'll be heading south about 20 miles down the M66 on Tuesday 18th July to Gigg Lane and a first friendly against Bury since Stan Ternent took us there four years ago in a game that ended 1-1 in front of a crowd of just over 1,800, our goal came from the unlikely source of midfielder Tony Grant.

This year we could come up against a couple of former Clarets – Marc Pugh and Chris Brass have both been kept on by manager Chris Casper and both should feature against their former club.

It is the second of the games we have scheduled so far, but coming ten days after the trip to Accrington I think we can expect another game to be added. For Bury it will be their third game after a trip to Radcliffe Borough and a home game on the previous Saturday against Everton.
