They might like to be beside the seaside

Marlon - could be set for Blackpool with Steve Davis
Both Beresford and Davis have been linked with a series of clubs but with offers coming in at a higher level than York it does look as though Brassy will have to look elsewhere to boost his squad.

In fact Blackpool are currently favourites to sign our former keeper and former captain, two players who have both had three separate spells with the Clarets, and Marlon was involved in talks with Blackpool boss Steve McMahon last night.

And the talks went far enough for an offer to be made and Marlon is now considering that offer and a move to the half a ground at Bloomfield Road. We believe that Blackpool will also be offering Davis an offer this week at a time when players are going to start making up their minds.

We are now just nine days from the beginning of July and that will signal the end of contracts for many players and although they will be paid until the end of next month it will surely signal a rush to sign a deal for those players to ensure they are not amongst those missing out.

There is no doubt that Steve McMahon is favourite to capture both Beresford and Davis but things could change over the next week or so.
