The achievements of that team is now the subject of a new book entitled The Road To Glory written by Mike Smith, the author of the 2011 book Tommy Boyle - Broken Hero the amazing story of the captain of that winning team and also the championship winning team of seven years later.
This new book contains facts and figures and traces the Clarets in the FA Cup from 1885 to 1914 and draws on match reports of the day, news events and incidents that took place at the time together with images of the period to illustrate what it must have been like to follow a century ago.
It's one I'm looking forward to reading. I really enjoyed the Tommy Boyle book and now I can read all about out only FA Cup success to date.
