The Mail are at it again

It was said that after refusing Stan would be out of Turf Moor by the time Stoke hit town on Saturday. That was quickly been denied by the only man who knows, Stan himself, and he admitted some surprise as to where they get these stories from.

The answer Stan is the same place as they have found this morning’s story in the Daily Mail. This time they tell us that Burnley Football Club will run out of money in three weeks time. This is no speculation they say, this is fact and was announced by our club to a First Division meeting last week.

A meeting certainly did take place at Walsall’s Bescot Stadium and Andrew Watson attended on behalf of Burnley Football Club. Watson’s response to the meeting is somewhat different to that of the Daily Mail and he said that there was no way Burnley would even find themselves in a position like Derby are currently in.

It makes you wonder just what the Daily Mail and its sister paper are up to. They certainly seem to be suggesting that our club is in a far worse position than even the news coming out of Turf Moor itself.

Hopefully the club will make a statement as soon as possible to clear this up before the national press start suggesting that we are the next Bradford City.
