The Championship Stats - 21st April

Last updated : 21 April 2009 By Tony Scholes
Only a freak set of results could possibly keep Reading out of the top six now. They are six points clear of chasers Swansea and Preston with a goal difference 16 better than that of Swansea. And Cardiff's late comeback at Charlton has left them needing one point to be certain.

Barnsley were close to easing their relegation worries at Coventry but conceded a 90th minute penalty and had to settle for a draw. Its going to be tight at the bottom but that point means Southampton will definitely be relegated on Saturday if they don't beat us.

The stats are below along with the leading scorers, each club's disciplinary record and all the remaining fixtures.
