The Beast had the ump

Jensen was left out of the side after a poor performance in the FA Cup defeat at Reading with manager Steve Cotterill bringing in Wigan stopper Mike Pollitt on loan. Pollitt went straight into the side at Southampton and that resulted in Jensen asking for a move. When Pollitt returned to the Concrete Jungle it was Danny Coyne who returned to the side, and until the recent game at Preston there wasn't even a place for Jensen on the bench.

Saturday saw him return at the expense of Coyne and in two games since his return he has kept clean sheets, and was in very good form particularly in the win over Plymouth two days ago. He's asked to come off the list and that request, just like his previous one in January, has also been accepted.

Manager Steve Cotterill said: "I felt that earlier in the season, as I had said, Brian hadn't been keeping us in the game enough. I thought that after I left him out in a game, where I felt he deserved to be taken out of the firing line, he had the ump about it.

"I said 'Well, is it is not alright for me to have the ump when goals are going in that I don't think should go in?'. That was the crux of it.

"He's off the transfer list now though because he's apologised and he wanted to come off, so that's fine. To be fair to him, he has absolutely trained his socks off since he's been out of the team. In all of that you have to be man enough all round to accept what has gone on. He's come back in the team now and done very well."

Jensen is expected to keep his place in the side over the Easter period at the expense of Welsh international Coyne who could himself be set for the Turf Moor exit door at the end of the season.
