Ternent in at Derby

Stan Ternent
He's taken his coach from Wigan Mark Seagraves along with Ternent although neither of them have been given specific roles at the club. For the former manager it is a return to full time football for the first time since the end of the 2004/05 season when he left Gillingham.

Jewell said of the appointment: "Stan was my coach at Bradford and he has great experience, great knowledge, he knows the game inside out whilst Mark is an up and coming coach who was with me at Wigan.

"We all think along the same lines and I think I have a good mix of youth and experience there. There will be others coming in but at this moment in time I'm glad to have Mark and Stan on board."

Stan Ternent will have happy memories of his new place of work, and I'm sure he'll remember that fantastic day when we knocked Derby out of the FA Cup with a goal from Andy Cooke at a time when Derby were in the Premiership and two divisions above us.

I wish him all the best in his new role and I reckon a blind man on a galloping horse will be able to see he is looking forward to it.
