Team of the Week place for Robbie Blake

There is no doubt that Robbie earned his place with another excellent performance for the Clarets at Selhurst Park against Crystal Palace. He tormented their defence at times and it was his promptings behind just about every good Burnley move.

He was certainly looking back to his best form but just how Mark McGregor and in particular David May didn’t make it into the side remains a mystery so well did they play.

But it was not to be as a Yorkshire pairing of David Wetherall and Chris Morgan snapped up the places in the centre of defence. Sheffield United were the only side to have more than one player in the line up with both Robert Kozluk and Mr. Karren Brady also winning places.

The full team was: Darren Ward (Nottm Forest), Graham Alexander (Preston), David Wetherall (Bradford), Chris Morgan (Sheff Utd), Robert Kozluk (Sheff Utd), Youssef Safri (Coventry), Joel McAnuff (Franchise), Dennis Wise (Millwall), Julio Arca (Sunderland), Robbie Blake (Burnley), Paul Peschisolido (Sheff Utd).
