Take a Scarf to the Turf

One of the highlights at Loftus Road on Sunday was the magnificent support from 3,000 Burnley fans at one end of the ground. Quite simply this Claret and Blue mass never stopped in their support from start to finish and won praise from Stan after the game.

Yes we can be a great help and next week we will once again take on Premiership club Fulham for a place in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup and a trip to Watford. We need to give as much support as we possibly can.

The first thing we can do is if at all possible get to the game. It might be tempting for some to watch it on television but for those who can get to Turf Moor please do and lend your support.

Then we can let this Fulham side know what we are all about. As they come out onto the field their own fans, the few who bother to turn up, will be behind them. They will see only Burnley fans everywhere they look. We need them to see Claret and Blue, we need them to see scarves waving above everyone’s heads. Let them know just where they are.

Last season against Grimsby it provided us with a wonderful spectacle as the teams came out as Burnley fans had dug out their scarves for the occasion. So get the dust off them and get them ready for next Wednesday. If you haven’t got one then why not call into the club shop and buy one.

And then just one more thing, yes just one more thing we have to ask you and that is to get behind the lads from start to finish. Turf Moor is often considered to have lost its atmosphere these days but we all know we are capable of finding it when needed.

Th Sky cameras are there so let’s give the armchair football fans a treat, let’s have them wanting to sing and chant along with us as we do all we can to help the Clarets into the 6th round of the FA Cup. And let’s frighten Fulham to death.

And please don’t forget
