Swede from Belgium on trial

The player is Swede Ola Tidman who is currently playing for La Louvière in the Belgian first division, the Jupiler League. The Clarets must have an extensive scouting network in Belgium, Tidman is the third from that country to join the Clarets for a trial.

Tidman, who is 22 years-old and is 6ft 2ins tall, is not visiting England for the first time and has previously had trials with both Bolton and Wolves. These trials were recent, just a couple of months ago.

His manager at La Louvière, Ariel Jacobs, told Planet Football, "I cannot refuse anyone the possibility of showing his qualities with, possibly, a juicier contract available". I think that sort of suggests that Tidman is available for transfer.

Tidman has won a place in the first team this season and has made six appearances in the Jupiler League. His club are currently just above the relegation positions in 16th place in an 18 team league.

Tidman joins Alcaly Camara on trial at the Turf. The French based Senagal player who we told you about last week is already with the Clarets and was with the squad last Sunday at the FA Cup tie at Cheltenham.
