Swanny to make draw

Peter Swan
Swanny had two spells with the Clarets. He first joined us in the summer of 1995 as a replacement for Steve Davis but moved on just over two years later, signing for Bury who were then managed by Stan Ternent.

Just a year on he was back at Turf Moor. A couple of weeks earlier Ternent, by now Burnley manager, had said he didn't want Peter Swan at a fans forum, but he arrived along with Gordon Armstrong after we'd been left without central defenders with the likes of Blatherwick, Howey and Winstanley told they wouldn't play again.

His second spell with the Clarets was an injury plagued one and he started only eleven games before moving on to York. His last appearance for the Clarets was as a substitute at Stoke during the promotion season. He wasn't at York long before having to retire because of the injuries.
