Those that have followed our results will have noticed that after a shaky start we are now on a four-game unbeaten run and yesterday picked up our third win (a 7-6 friendly win over Rosegrove), following a 2-0 win over Burnley Grammar School Old Boys and a 6-2 thrashing of Bury B.

However, we have a number of players leaving this summer for a number of reasons, university being the main one. We are now looking for players to replace those outgoing and strengthen the team even further.

During the last few months several players have approached us with a view to joining the team, and now is your chance to impress. We will be holding an open training session on Wednesday 28th May, at 7pm on Lower Towneley playing fields. Anybody is welcome to come along and attempt to show us you deserve to represent the team. We recommend you turn up a couple of minutes before 7 to give you the chance to introduce yourself to myself and Wayno along with the rest of the team.

We are also holding an end of season bash next month to celebrate our first few months and hopefully raise some money along the way. The 'End of Season Fundraiser' takes place at Fulledge Con Club on 14th June at 7:30. Already committed are a host of excellent prizes and special guest speakers who will be more than worth the admission fee alone, ex premier league footballers' signed tops, ex clarets giving us an in-sight into there old playing days along with a DJ, buffet, raffle and some quirky awards giving out for the lads who deserve them- some serious some not so serious.

Tickets are priced at £7.50 and are available by contacting a member of the team, or by clicking HERE

If you want to support us but can not make the bash, there are a number of options including, sponsoring a TV game for just £20 or website advertising. More details on sponsorship can be found HERE

Finally, an update from the pitch. In recent weeks we have played in the Merseyside Tournament, where despite a poor start in the group of death we managed to finish in 5th place out of 8. We have since won two local friendly games 1-0 and 7-6 as mentioned above. On Saturday we travel to league-leaders Rochdale for what will be our final league game of the season before we enter the 'National Football Museum Tournament' at the back end of June.

hanks for everyone that has supported us so far.
