Dark Lane - where Rossendale United play Chorley
You have two options in the Unibond League, both in Division One, and the first of them sees Rossendale United take on Chorley who were a Conference club back in the late eighties.

Dark Lane was the venue of a Burnley youth success a few weeks ago but now the home side are back there and it’s a real basement battle with Rossendale third from bottom and Chorley one place below them. Incredibly Chorley are 29 points clear of bottom club Rocester.

A little higher in the table and Clitheroe are at home to Mossley who are managed by former Manchester City forward Jason Beckford. Defeat for Chorley could see them drop into the relegation battle.

Into the North West Counties League and there are two matches in the First Division locally. The first of these sees fourth place Ramsbottom United at home against Colne who are seventh but nine places behind their hosts.

That game is at the Riverside Ground, Acre Bottom whilst over at Bacup the local side take on Stone Dominoes.

Finally in Division Two of the North West Counties league there is an opportunity to take in the match between Padiham and Darwen at the Arbories – that one is as near as we are going to get to a Burnley v Blackburn Easter derby.
