The news this morning is that it isn't life threatening but news reports are suggesting he's suffered serious spinal injuries.
There have been suggestions on the message board that we could show our support at the home game against Liverpool on Boxing Day with the preferred option being a minute's applause after five minutes of the game, five being the squad number Clarke wore during his time as a Burnley player.
He told us on the pitch at Wembley in 2009 that he was privileged and honoured to have played for us. I feel privileged and honoured to have got to know him during his time at Turf Moor and I'm sure we all feel privileged and honoured that he played for our club.
