Summerbee says farewell

Burnley were keen to sign the former Manchester City and Sunderland winger but Stan was only able to offer him a short term deal and yesterday came news of a better and longer offer.

So having made his Burnley debut in that Barnsley hammering at Oakwell he has moved back into Yorkshire and signed for the Pretty Flamingos Bradford City on a two year deal.

Buzzer Junior said, "I was training with Burnley for a few weeks when I got a call from my agent advising me that Bradford City were interested in signing me.

"I’ve missed three pre-seasons out and need to get as many games as possible to get proper match fitness. I’m just happy to be playing football again and as soon as I’m fit I know I can do something."

Stan expected him to turn down the Turf Moor offer and will now presumably look elsewhere for a player who can play on the right should Glen not return from Bolton.
