Chris Iwelumo
Fourth cap for Chris Iwelumo
The Scots were beaten 1-0 in their European qualifier against the Czech Republic in Prague with a goal from Romain Hubník on 70 minutes. Big Chris was introduced six minutes later, coming on as a replacement for QPR's Jamie Mackie.

In the under-21 play off Jack Cork made an even later appearance for England in their 2-1 win against Romania at Norwich City's Carrow Road. Jordan Henderson (Sunderland) and Chris Smalling (Manchester United) got the goals with Cork coming on for Jack Wilshere in stoppage time.

Former Claret Kyle Lafferty was also a substitute in Northern Ireland's impressive 0-0 draw against Italy at Windsor Park. He replaced David Healy.

Another ex-Claret did get a start and had a successful night. Gabor Kiraly won his 77th cap for Hungary and kept a clean sheet in a somewhat easy 8-0 win against San Marino in Budapest.

For David Edgar, however, the wait continues for a full international debut. He was called up for Canada's friendly against Ukraine in Kiev but didn't get on the pitch during the game which ended 2-2. They led 2-0 during the first half with Norwich's Simeon Jackson getting the first goal.

The INTERNATIONALS section of the site has been updated following the appearances of Iwelumo and Lafferty.
